Clemens von Merveldt (born 1961) has a degree in agricultural engineering and a "master" in horsemanship. Along with managing and organizing the whole operation, he also looks after the apprentices, shows horses and markets young dressage horses.
Andrea von Merveldt (born 1962) has a degree in business administration and was a successful rider in eventing all the way up to the German Championships for juniors. Along with bookkeeping and housekeeping, she was also active in the saddle and responsible for training young horses and riders.
Patricia Seddig (born 1990, nee v. Merveldt): Our daughter Patricia is now married to Alex Seddig but lives with her family on our farm. She was very successful as a junior rider and finished her studies in Business economics in Münster/Westfalia. She trains and shows our horses through the levels from riding horse classes up to advanced level. She has won the OL-Championship for 4 year old horses in Rastede with "Highlight OLD in 2022, competed several times at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf and World Championships at Ermelo. She was successful up to Grand Prix level not only with Floriscount but also with her self bred gelding Damons Hope. In addition she helps to manage our guesthouses.
Sebastian von Merveldt: our youngest son has made several degrees in agriculure as well as a greenkeeper for our Golf yard. We are very proud that he is now starting to take the responsibility for the whole business at our farm. He will develope our work in the future with his proven experiences in business economist and agriculture.
Rudy Daenekint joined our team in 2024 as a professional rider. He is originally from Belgium but has been in professional stables in Netherland and Germany for a long time in several well known stables. His focus is on training and showing our young dressage prospects through the levels right from the beginning of their career and helping clients to find their next "Füchtels horse"! .
Wibke Hammermann is our "stable manager". With her profund and deep experience in breeding and management her focus is the organisation of the stable work as well as vets, ferriers and all treatments of the horses. She cares about the broodmares with foaling as well as inseminations and is also open to answer all questions from clients about their horses boarded at Gut Füchtel.
Usually we have one or two students who learn the German called "Pferdewirt", what means they are specialized in horse business and service!. At the moment this place is available to a sincere and open minded "horse person" who wants to learn everything about handling horses from birth up to training levels, assisting in all kinds during the year with vets, ferriers and general treatment as well as feeding, caring and training of horses for breeding and sport. We try to give them a wide schedule of practice for their future career as real "horse specialists", in addition they go to school once a week here in Vechta for the theory!!
Tobias Bothe is here with us more than 9 years now and a helpful hand all over the farm. He bring in straw and cleans the stables, feeds horses, takes care of the whole area to be clean and manages the tack rooms.
Markus Torbecke has a degree in agriculture [Landwirtschaftsmeister] and is responsible for the whole farming operation since more than 25 years now as well as for all machines to keep on working.
Our farm veterinarian is Dr. Güldner from Wildeshausen, he takes care of our horses since many years. We also cooperate closely with well-known clinics and specialized veterinarians in the region like the Horse Clinic at Muehlen (Drs Steinmann, Harland and Görgens) or the Lüsche Horse Clinic at Essen/Ol.
